Many will ask, what is the aim of ecolog^eenet?

• We are strictly against the building of new nuclear power plants and the cancelation of nuclear phase out's!
• We want to foster the understanding for sustainability in the IT and show that the combination of sustainabilty and modern IT even nowadays is absolutely no problem!
• We want to reach internet access providers and internet service providers, but even so giving end-users the best information about new sustainable techniques and products. Because only, if all people use the ressource of the earth reasonable, our nature can be protected for a long term.
• We want to be THE internet-starting point for sustainability in the IT!
• We want to serve as a cost-free discussion-plattform about sustainability in the IT, for all people connected to IT!
• We want to collect information from all, for all, ad-free and cost-free!

What we do not want:

• reach an immediate shutdown of all nuclear power plants. Because even we now that there are enough good reasons to let well constructed nuclear power plants still some time connected to the grid.
• convince all people and firms that the only salvation ist to change out immediatly all hardware to more power-safing hardware or green-power hosts. Because there are often many good causes not to do this, e.g. high-availability, bad migration possibilities, protection of investments or the building costs.
• urge certain meainings or aims to our visitiors, even so we know very well, there is not one best way (e.g. the green-way) for all people.

Especially of this causes we have decided to launch a wiki! Everybody can and should contribute here, only so a sustainable future IT-landscape can come into existence, where is a place for everyone.
