GREENSOFT

All about the GREENSOFT-Project:

Duration: 01.06.2009 – 31.05.2012

We are co-operation partners of the research and development project “Green Software Engineering”. It is driven by the Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld, the environmental subsidiary of the Trier University of Applied Sciences. The project’s objective is to extend the hardware centric scope of Green-IT to software engineering. For this, new principles, models, methods and tools will be developed, which support sustainable software engineering. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. PowerIndicator-Software:

The PowerIndicator is a Firefox-Addon that shows from which source the website you opened originates and if it is renewable power.

For now the PowerIndicator is in a closed beta-stage.
