Electric power, if you have too much!

On this site we want to present interesting things and anecdotes about eletric-power-consumers, which do have only a lazy smile about power-safing:

• Power station employees of the four big German power generating enterprises receive (after they spent some years for the company) generous free contigents of electric power and they do very unsustainable things with this free power, such as heating their houses or similiar things.
• in Norway eletric power is extremly cheap, so that some products, e.g. some lights are sold without an on/off-switch. A Norwegian four-members family has an overall consumption of electric power of about 25.000kWh/p.a. .That is more than 5 times compared to Germany!!
